  Regularly use Formal Finish, often for simple ironing of shirts- very happy with quality of work and speed to turn around. Hard working couple who do a terrific job.

  I lived around the corner from Formal finish for 2 years. In that time I took a number of things to be cleaned. Most were OK, often not as clean as I’d hoped, but acceptable on the most part. One red flag was that they burnt and destroyed a coat of mine- but it was quite old and I figured that the stains had been too stubborn and it had been an accident. The coat had new dark brown lines all over it that were clearly Burns, in hindsight I have no idea why I didn’t say anything and instead just threw it in the bin after paying.The last piece I took was a tailored suit I had invested $1600 in. I thought it looked a bit funny when I picked it up, I could see the lapels had new wrinkles, but didn’t think to ask about them. Today, a few months later, I took it to another dry cleaner, and they immediately looked at it and said “did you try and wash this?” They went on to explain to me that the fabric was badly damaged by chemicals and heat, went over it bit by bit and showed me all the poor pressing - eg pleat in the pants was off and had markings of 2, sometimes 3 other lines beside the pressed pleat. Slight bunching along all of the seams. They told me that they will be able to improve the look, but the fabric is permanently damaged. I wouldn’t recommend taking anything of high value here.
  Edit - the suit I took in had no visible stains, it was just a freshen up.

  I've had many items of clothes altered here and have been satisfied with the results. The prices are fair and they are quite speedy, will definitely keep going back.

  I see others have had issues but I have always been happy with their service. I sometimes ask the impossible and they tell me. But they have been really quick with repairs and cleaning is always up to scratch. Friendly good local small business
